Draw the triangle through the centres of the circles. The side of this triangle is 4r, so the hight of the equilateral triangle is ??

The total height of the edifice is the height of the triangle you will have calculated plus twice teh radius of one of the circles.

I leave the responsibility of reconciling the mixed units to you.
