Thread: Geometry question

Okay I am having a problem with this story problem it says Kim wants to put a small fence in the shape of a circle around a tree in her backyard. She wants the radius of the circle to be 3 feet, leaving room to plant flowers around the tree. How many feet of fencing does she need to buy if it is sold by the foot? (use 3.14 to approximate pie.) I am not sure where to begin.

You were not taught how to find the circumference of a circle?
