    Cube Question

    How can a cube be cut into 20 cubes (not necessarily the same size)?

    A Rubik's Cube consists of 27 smaller cubes. What happens if you glue 8 of those together to form a 2x2x2 cube?

    Thanks for your time, but I still do not understand your process behind this. How would you corrolate it to a 20 smaller cubes?

    Out of 27 cubes remove 19 cubes. 8 cubes left out. Glue them together to form a cube of 2x2x2.
    So the total number is 19 + 1 = 20.

    With Rubik's, you can also get 6 cubes: 8,8,8,1,1,1
    and 13 cubes: 8,8,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1

    You can easily "make up" these questions; like:
    "How can a cube be cut into 5 cubes (not necessarily the same size)?"
    First, divide the cube in 64 smaller cubes;
    stick 27 together twice, 8 together once; you have: 27,27,8,1,1
