Math Help - logarithm equation

    logarithm equation

    ln(100,000 - X) = 11.45714

    Need to find X, I know X = 5426 , I just don't know how to get it...

    ...and it's driving me craaaazy.

    If:

    ln(100,000 - X) = 11.45714

    then

    100,000 - X = e^{11.45714} = 94574.2..

    so:

    X ~= 100000 - 94574.2 ~= 5426
