    triangles

    Timmy has a triangular garden, but to add the right amount of fertilizer and top-soil he needs to know the area of the garden. Which of the formulas will give him the correct answer? The dimensions of the garden are given in the diagram shown.

    I don't understand what your answers are meant to be.

    X can be found using Pythagoras and then the area found using Heron's formula

    Heron's formula (stolen from Wiki)

    A = \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)} where s=\frac{a+b+c}{2}
