    Hypotenuse-leg criterion

Please help me solve this problem. Thank you in advance.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

We have seen that there is no generally reliable SSA(Side Side Angle) criterion for congruence. If the angle part of such a correspondence is a right angle, the criterion is reliable. Justify this so-called Hypotenuse-leg criterion (which is abbriviated HL).

    Hi chil2e,

Given H and L in a right triangle fixes the cosine or sine of one of the acute angles. This fixes the other acute angle so you have all angles defined and two sides.SAS congruency. Third side can be calculated as well.SSS
