First you have to break it into one rectangle in the middle and two semicircles on each side.
The area of the rectangle is

Since there are two semicircles,

Pi's approximate value is 3.14, so
$\displaystyle 60in^2+9\pi in^2 \\ =60in^2+9(3.14)in^2\\
=60in^2+28.26in^2\\=88.26in^2\\ \approx 88.3in^2$
