Word problems

Hi guys, well there's this on question I'm very confused on.

The problem says that if a circle is dilated by 1/2 what would be the new dimension?

Now I'm quite confused would I divide it by 2 since it didn't say reduced or should I multiply by 2 since it says it was dilated.

'Dilated' means 'enlarged'. So if something is dilated by 1/2, its dimensions will be increased by 1/2. For example, a circle of radius 10 cm will then have a radius of 15 cm.
