1. Another Design and Measurement Problem

A room meausres 445 cm by 350 cm and the ceiling is to be tiled with 30 cm by 30 cm ceiling tiles.
The tiles are to be laid starting at the centre of the room.

a) Determine the number of complete tiles to be used on the ceiling
b) Calculate the size of the border tiles at each wall
c) Calculate the size of the tiles at each corner
d) Calculate the minimum number of tiles required for the project
c) If tiles are sold in packs of 25 for $66.95, determine the cost of the tiles required for the project. Thank you so much! 2. Draw a diagram and lay it out. Pretend it is your room and you really want to tile the ceiling and you really don't want to spend more than you have to.
