    Find the area of shaded region of a circle

    Can anyone explain to me step by step how to you solve this ?
    How do you find the area of the shaded region?

    1. The area in question consists of 2 sectors (orange) which add up to \frac13 of the circle and 2 isosceles triangles (blue).

    2. Calculate the area of the sectors.
    I've added in my sketch the length of the sides of the triangles which you have to use to calculate the area of these triangles.
