    Semi-Ellipse

    The arch of the bridge is in the shape of a semi-ellipse having a horizontal span of 30 meters and height of 12 meters at the center. How high is the arch 10 meter to right or left of the center

    The equation of the ellipse is x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 = 1.
    In the problem a and b are given. Find the value of y for x = 10 m.
