10m3 means what: 10 cubic meters?
You also need to height of the dome in order to calculate the diameter.
Have a look-see here:

Hi
Thanks for having a look at my thread.
I'm going to build an dome structure using the "earthbag" technique, and need to be able to work out the area of a dome.
I've found this equasion on wikipedia but as I don't know the principals cannot use it.
Dome (mathematics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Can some one tell me in laymans terms how I can use a calculator to work out this equasion ?
Idially I need to use it to work out the diameter of a dome which has a volume of 10m3.
Thanks !
Mike

Hi Wilmer,
thanks for your reply, hight = 10 diameter = 10.
Sorry for being unclear, 10m3 = 10 meters cubed.
I'm trying to find the volume of the dome, or which size dome would contain a volume of 10m3.
The dome shape is most similar to half a prolate spheroid cut along the horizontal axis.
I'm really not great at math's so if some one could explain exactly which buttons to press on this online calculator it would help me greatly:

Thanks in advance for your help,
Best regards,
Mike
