
Volume of Cone
I've got the formula, (1/3BH), the slant height (16), and the measure of the vertex angle.(40 deg.) I need to find the true height and the radius/diameter, but I can't seem to figure out how. Trig functions would work, but there is only one length given. However, the other two angles of the triangle are 20 and 70, with a right angle as well.

Since the vertex angle is 40 when you draw a triangle you get 20.
The hypotenuse is 16.
Thus,
r (radius) = 16*cos 70
h (height) = 16*sin 70
Since you know the height and radius you can find everything you need by using the appropriate formula.
