    In the figure given below ABCD is a square inscribed in a circle. With B and D as centers, quarter circles are drawn. If the side of the square is 14 cm, find the area of the shaded region. *

    Look at the area of the unshaded region ADC. If the side of the square is x this area is:

    x^2-\frac{\pi x^2}{4}

    You should be able to finnish it yourself from this observation.
