    Sketch the locus...

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes...

Sketch the locus of those points w with |w| = 3.

    What is the locus...?

i suppose w is a complex number here?

    if so, say w = x + iy and sketch |x + iy| = \sqrt {x^2 + y^2} = 3

if w isn't a complex number, the same principle will apply. you want the set of all points that are 3 units away from 0 (the origin). which would again yield the above graph.
