    Hi sri340,

    Let's find the area of the floor in square meters first.

    A=(3.5)(4.5)=15.75 m^2

    Now, for a little conversion.

    \frac{15.75 m^2}{1}\cdot \frac{(100 cm)^2}{1 m^2} \cdot \frac{(1in)^2}{(2.54 cm)^2}= your answer in square inches.
