    word problem...please help

    joey has a toy car that is a 1:64 scale model of an actual car. joey's toy car can go 5 ft/sec. What is the equivalent speed in miles per hour for the actual car? Explain

    First of all, the big car is 64 times bigger than the toy
    Thus, it should go 64 times faster than the toy
    64*5 = 320 ft/sec

    Now change units to mi/hr
    320 ft/sec * 60sec/1min * 60min/1hr * 1mi/5280ft = 218 mi/hr
