A 3m ladder can be used safely only at an angle of 75 degrees with the horizontal. How high, to the nearest metre, can the ladder reach?

start with a diagram. notice here that you have a right triangle, the hypotenuse of which is 3, and the angle that the hypotenuse makes with the base is 75 degrees. You want to find the height of this triangle. you can use the sine function.
