a line segement has midpoint B(4,3) and one end at A(-6,4). find the coordinate of the other end of the line segment?

2. The points A(-4,10) B(-1,1) and C(2,7) form a triangle

(a) is this a right angle triangle?

(b) what is the length of the triangles perimeter?

any help appreciated

midpoint formula: let $A=(x_{1},y_{1})$ and $B=(x_{2},y_{2})$ , then $M=(\frac{1}{2}(x_{1}+x_{2}),\frac{1}{2}(y_{1}+y_{2 }))$ .

So, in our case, $A=(-6,4)$ and $M=midpoint=(4,3)$ . Therefore, you have to solve the equation $(4,3)=(\frac{1}{2}(-6+x_{2}),\frac{1}{2}(4+y_{2}))$ which can be written as $(4=\frac{1}{2}(-6+x_{2}),3=\frac{1}{2}(4+y_{2}))$ . Solving those two equations should give you the point you are looking for.
