    Line(s) of symmetry ?

    What is the greatest method to find out the lines of symmetry of a hyperbola  Ax^2 + Bxy + Cy^2 + Dx + Ey + F = 0

    where  B^2 - 4AC > 0

    The solution for the general equation that you have here is complicated, but this looks an interesting web-site. As well as enabling you to input any values for the constants, it contains an explanation of how the calculations are carried out.
