    What is the use of the salinon proposition

    So i am doing a project on the salinon by archimedes and cannot find anything on the internet that explains what it is used for? Do they use it in architecture what is the point of this salinon? I have to do a power point and I will explain how it works but what do i say when someone asks what the point is. I ahve no idea and my project is due wed. I have been looking for help and finally found this site Hope someone can help Thanks!
