Determine whether the lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither.
Determine whether the lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither.

y=2x+ 4/3 and y= 3/4 -2x

(4/3 and 3/4 are fractions)

The gradient of a line in the form y = mx + c is "m".
Parallel lines have equal gradients.
Perpendicualr lines have gradients which multiply to give -1.
Anything else is neither.

$y=\frac{4}{3} + 2x ,\qquad y=\frac{3}{4} - 2x$

Firstly look at the gradient $-2$ and $2$

Do they multiply togeather to make -1 ?
If not they are not perpendicular.

Are thier gradients the same?
If not, then they are not parallel

So they would be neither because they don't.

Thanks for your help!!!
