# Math Help - Walk me through this please

1. ## Geometry homework help

Sorry if this seems a bit easy but I'm having troubles doing this question on my home work.

The question is if line RU is an angle bisector of triangle RTS, angle RTU=13x-24 angle TRS= 12x-34 and angle RUS=92. Find Angle RSU. is RU perpendiculare to line TS.

Can someone walk me through this. Thanks.

how can RU possibly bisect angle the RTS?
isn't it a bisector of angle TRS instead???
and if RU is perpendicular to TS, angle RUS cannot be 92 degrees...

3. Ukorov is correct; you should realise RU CANNOT be perpendicular
to TS, since angle RUS = 92 degrees.

Since angle TRS = 12x - 34, then angle URS = (12x - 34)/2 = 6x - 17.
Plus we know angle RUS = 92; so angle RSU = 180 - 92 - (6x - 17).

The information that angle RTU = 13x - 24 is NOT required.

Thanks sorry. I'm hopeless at maths but I think that covers it

If I need anything else then I will post.

Thanks again.
