    A cylindrical can of cleaner holds 1 L of liquid. What is its height if the diameter of the base is 12 cm? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a cm.

    given Volume of cylindrical can,V = 1 L = 1000 cubic cm
    diameter of the base is 12 cm, therefore radius r=6 cm;
    height h = ?
    V=\pi r^2 h \quad \Rightarrow  \quad h\ =\frac{V}{\pi r^2}
    substitute the values.....
