    another permutations question ><""

how many ways can letters of the word permute be arranged if first and last places are occupied by consonsants?

so there are 4 consonsants, and i thought it would be 4P2 which is 4!/2! = 12
and for the middle places 5! cause there are 5 places
then wouldnt total be 12 x 120 which equals 1440
but the answers say that its 720 ?
    could anybody tell me why?
    thankyouu !

Because there are two "e's". So divide by 2.
