Math Help - Julian date from current date

    Question Julian date from current date

    I have looked online at various different websites with julian calculators but I'd like to know how they get there answer could some one show me a worked example for 21/06/2009 @ 12:15 the Julian ans should = 2455004.0104166665

    Scroll down to the bottom to where it says

    "Just for completeness, although you didn't ask for it, here is the
    Fliegel-Van Flandern algorithm to convert from a Gregorian calendar
    date to the Julian date:"
