    finite geometric series

    Can someone please help me work through this one?

    Find sum of geometric series:

    2 + 2*(0.35) + 2*(0.35)^2 + ... + 2*(0.35)^7

    r = 0.35
    a = 2
    n = 8

    S(8) = 2(1-0.35^8)/(1-0.35)
    = 3.07623019


    Correct?

    If you have used the correct formula and done the arithmetic correctly then it will be the correct answer.
