    Relation in set builder notation.

    Hi,

The following is given in my text-book as an example of a symmetric relation (in English):

    "Set A is related to set B if A \cap B \neq \emptyset"

How would I express the following relation in set-builder notation?

    Edit:

    Is it simply: R = \lbrace (A, B) | A \cap B \neq \emptyset \rbrace?

    So for example, (\lbrace 1, 2 \rbrace, \lbrace 1, 3 \rbrace) \in R?
