    [SOLVED] Help With Finding the Total Number of Combinations?

    If there are 7 dogs and 13 cats, what are the maximum number of combinations that are possible when choosing 5 animals?

    We are choosing 5 animals from a group of 20 animals.

    There are: . _{20}C_5 \;=\;{20\choose5} \;=\;\frac{20!}{5!\,15!} \;=\;15,504 combinations.
