Discrete Maths Homework
Hi, I'm struggling with the new module in Discrete Maths.
Here is the question where I'm stuck.

Write out the first five values of F if
• F(1) = 1 and for n ≥ 2
• F (n) = F (n – 1) + 2n – 1. (8 Marks)
Can you guess what the actual F (n) will be? (6 Marks)

$F(2)=F(2-1)+2(2)-1=4$
$F(3)=F(3-1)+2(3)-1=9$
$F(4)=F(4-1)+2(4)-1={\color{red}?}$
