Intersection (set theory) help needed!
Im having trouble finding out step by step the answer to the definition of the union of two sets A and B.

A∩B = {x|x ∈ A Λ x ∈ B}

But I will be greatful if someone here could explain in step by step on how to do this question.

First, I do not see any question there at all.
May be you can rewrite the problem to make into a question.

Moreover, you have written the set notation for intersection not union.

Ok......I how do I find out the union of two sets A and B? If somebody could help me via step by step how I could work this one out, I would be grateful.

As I have added the answer in the first post, my idea is to try to understand each part of the solution. The thing is, I will be having a test soon (multiple choice), and I really don't want to guess etc. I only know the answer I mentrioned above as I've been told by my lecturer, so if someone here could explain to me step by step, including the definition of each symbol, I would be grateful.

Thanks...
