I believe you have to use the cons operation, having trouble getting started. Any help would be appreciated

Why have us guessing? We don't have any idea what the question as posted means.
Why no go ahead and write out the entire question as it appears in the text?

The question is to to write an inductive definition for Z = {<c>, <c,f>, <c,c,f>, <c,c,c,f>, ...} using infix or con. I'm having trouble keeping the f on the right side and adding the c's to the left.
