    Simple Question about Well-Ordered Sets

    Is every nonempty subset of a well-ordered set, well-ordered?

    What is the definition of a set being well ordered?
    This question is just a direct application of the definition.
    Is the subset relation transitive?
    What do you think is the answer and why?
