    Question Independent and Dependent Events

    can anyone of you please help me to find these answers?

    Consider the following events for a family with children:
    A = {children of both genders} (Hint: use g for girl and b for boy)
    B = {at most one boy}

    (a) Show that A and B are independent events if a family has three children.

    (b) Show that A and B are dependent events if a family has only two children

    Thnx

    The events are independent if P(A and B)=P(A)P(b), and dependent otherwise.
