    A and B are relatively prime. Show that a | c.

    Let a, b, c be positive integers. Suppose a and b are relatively prime, and that a | bc. Show that a | c.

    I know that/have the following:

    "Since a | bc, then either a | b or a | c." However I am not sure how to move on from here.

    Since the only information you are given is that "a and b are relatively prime", use that! What does "relatively prime" mean?

    I know that for two numbers to be "relatively prime" they each have a greatest common divisor of 1. For example, 6 and 35 are relatively prime because the only thing that can divide both of them is 1.
