    graphs

    An object is thrown vertically into the air. what would a graph look like that has the velocity (v) of the object as a function of the time (t)? The positive direction is taken to be upward.

    now why do you think that is? (think about the rate of change of velocity as you formulate your answer. or better yet, consider the fact that we can think of velocity as the rate of change of the height of the ball)
