If $\displaystyle (x, y)$ represents $\displaystyle x + iy$, then the arugment is $\displaystyle \theta $ such that $\displaystyle \tan{\theta} = \frac{y}{x} $ and $\displaystyle 0 \le \theta \le 2\pi $
