I need to get (AD' + A'B' + B'D')minimized to (AD' + A'B').

I've been struggling awhile now and can't get hang of it, could you please help me out?

NB! It is possible, because their truth tables match.

You have B'D' = AB'D' + A'B'D'. Substitute in your original expression and you get AD' + A'B' + AB'D' +A'B'D' = AD' + ABD' + A'B' + A'B'D' = AD'(1+B') + A'B'(1+D') = AD' +A'B'.
