    Floor function nested division

    I need help proving the following property of the floor function:

    Be x a real number, and a and b integers,

    floor(floor(x/a)/b) = floor(x/(a*b))

    Thanks. I looked at the other different threads and ututor gives a very nice hint which is to consider x/a = q * b + r + a where r < b is an integer and 0 < a < 1.
