Relationship between P(N) and the countable ordinals?

Does anyone know what Cantor considered the connection between the countable ordinals (the second number class) and the power set of the natural numbers (esp. around the time he wrote the Grundlagen)?

In his book Georg Cantor, Joseph Dauben discusses THE CRISIS OF THE CONTINUUM AND CANTOR'S THEORY OF ORDER TYPES beginning on page 133ff.
I have no idea if that will help you or not.

Haha...I'll check it out, and hopefully it does. Is there a general connection though?
