    Question two distinct numbers with a difference of aa

    Of 12 distinct two-digit numbers, there are two with a 2-digit difference of the form aa.

    Are you saying that you're given that there exists a unique set of 12 numbers satisfying the above, and you're looking for those 12 numbers?

    she's saying that given any 12 numbers between 10 and 99, prove that the difference of some 2 of them is of the form aa, where aa is a digit representation, not a multiplication.

    this is a test question, don't give her the answer.
