    Exclamation Combination Card problems

    coinsider a standard deck of 52. How many four card hands have:
    a.) two pairs? (2808)
    b.) at most 3 spades?(27010)

    a) How many ways are there to pick the ranks of the two pairs? How many ways are there to pick a pair of queens, for example, from the deck?

    b) It's probably easiest to ask the complementary question: How many hands have more than 3 spades?
