    simple selection problem

    how many committees of 5 members can be chosen from a group of 8 people??

    C(8,5) = \frac{8!}{5! * (8-5)!}

    = \frac{8!}{5! * (3)!}

    = \frac{8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1}{5*4*3*2*1 * 3*2*1}

    =  56
