    Data Transfer

Im currently taking a class in Networking and can't figure out how to solve this question:

A 2 GB external drive has a maximum data transfer rate of 8 Mbps. If one has to transfer 1.6GB of data from this external drive to your hard drive, what is the least amount of time to complete this transfer (assume all units are base 2)? Show answer in Minutes.

I remember doing unit analysis last semester but i never understood how to do speed/time conversions. can anyone help get me started? and srry if i couldn't find the right forum to post this.

Eh, the transfer speed is measured in bits per second because speed is a ration of size to time: V=S/T. Now, express all quantities in bits and seconds and find T from this equation.
