Show that if there are 100,000,000 wage earners in the United States who earn less than 1,000,000 dollars, then there are two who earned exactly the same amount of money, to the penny, last year.

OK, I've read your other posts. Either you are really, really struggling, in which case I might suggest dropping this course, or you're trying to be funny which is not working.
First, how many pennies are in $1,000,000.00? Take one away from that total because every one of the 100,000,000 people make less than $1,000,000. Subtract that amount from the 100,000,000 and you have one remaining, right?
Then that one remaining person has to have a duplicate salary to the 99,999,999 people who each have a salary ranging from one penny to $999,999.99 assuming no one else has a duplicate salary.
Things are getting curiouser, and curiouser!
