hi folks,im new,just a little question to pose....

if there are 10 football matches being played,how many different combinations of results could there be considering each match could be either a win lose or draw?

ill word it a different way......

lets say i was doing a little bet in the bookies.....
10 football matches,each can either win lose or draw...........
how many bets would i have to do to cover every outcome?

3 outcomes for the first match, 3 for the second, the for the third.... 3 for the tenth

=3^10 possible outcomes

thanks a lot man,that means its about 59000 possible outcomes,that means about 59000 bets to cover everything.....i think ill let it off

It gets even more complicated if you take into account the fact that there won't be an even chance of win, loss and draw
