    Basic null sequence?

    Is

    {1/n+1} a basic null sequence ?

    If by "basic null sequence" one means a sequence with limit zero, then yes.

    So how is basic null sequence definined?

    Yes I did mean a sequence which converges to zero.

    I was going to say, "First define 'basic null sequence'" but Plato beat me to it!

    However, knowing now that a "basic null sequence" with limit 0, I must say that the answer is NO!
    The sequence {1/(n+1)} goes to 0 but {1/n+ 1} has limit 1.
