In order to avoid misundestanding you should better define the term 'decreasing'. In particular...

a) is fn(x) decreasing in x with n constant?...

b) is fn(x) decreasing in n with x constant?...

c) some else?...

you have to keep x fixed and choose decreasing with the n's.
