I need to show 1) x is fixed point of Q(x) That's kind of trivial, isn't it? Since y= H(x), Q(x)= x+ H(x)- y= x+ y- y= x.
2) What is the necessary condition for the iterative series Xn+1=Q(Xn) to converge to x.
Thank you very much in advance!
In general, will converge as long as |F'|< 1.
