Hi

Just one question : are you allowed to ask for help ?

3. Yeah its an open Final, we can work as a time or use online resources for help. Will you be able to help me? Thanks

4. For exercise 1, you just need to write out the first terms of the sequence
Is there anything you don't understand ?

5. Exercise 2 : your answer is correct but with n starting from 0

6. I know the 1st 2 pages I just need help on 3-7. I really don't understand too much of it.

7. Exercise 3 :

$\displaystyle a_n = \frac{5 + (-1)^n}{5}$

Write out the first terms of the sequence and conclude

8. 16)

Taylor series is $\displaystyle \sum_{n=0}^{+\infty}\frac{f^{(n)}(a)}{n!}\x-a)^n$

You can show that for $\displaystyle f(x) = \frac{1}{x}$
$\displaystyle f^{(n)}(a) = \frac{(-1)^n\:n!}{a^{n+1}}$

Therefore Taylor series is $\displaystyle \sum_{n=0}^{+\infty}\frac{(-1)^n}{a^{n+1}}\x-a)^n$

9. However stupid your institution is in its examination policy, you may not post take home exams here.

I doubt that you are allowed to ask "Can you please explain how each problem is solved and show steps".

I think many students don't understand (or don't want to understand) the fine distinction between on-line resources (ie. web pages that contain theory, examples, applets etc.) and on-line help forums ....
